(THREAD) 20 QUESTIONS FOR GEORGE PAPADOPOULOS. Now that @GeorgePapa19 is talking Russia on Twitter—and keeping in mind he follows this feed, so I know he'll see these tweets—I want to see if he'll answer tough questions from a guy who wrote a book about him. Read on and find out.
/ Q1: You connected with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias 3 times: early May 2016, late May, then via George Tzitzikos—his aide—in September. You said you blurted Mifsud's intel on HRC emails in late May from nervousness. Why? You'd already met Nikos.
/ Q2: You went to Greece in early May 2016 with Seth Cropsey—who you call a Hudson Institute friend though he was a fellow and you an intern. Cropsey knows Bud McFarlane and K.T. McFarland—which of them sent Cropsey to babysit you? Or was it someone else?
/ Q3: You were a Carson NatSec adviser—so was Flynn. Non-NatSec Clovis hired you at a time Flynn was Trump's only NatSec adviser. You worked with Flynn on the transition. You both have Ratio Oil ties and Egypt ties. Your arrest led to his. *Explain this*.
/ Q4: You told Trump you were a Kremlin intermediary—he didn't fire you. You told off David Cameron—they didn't fire you. You told Greek pols in December 2016 you helped Trump win and had a "blank check" for a job. What did you do that was *so* valuable?
/ Q5: You told Greek media you met Trump one-on-one ("on the day of his speech"): March 21, 2016. You also said you had a one-on-one call with him. That explains why he called you an "excellent guy" on March 21. Now you say you first met him March 31—why?
/ Q6: You told CNN that in July '16 Sergei Millian suddenly approached you with a job. But your wife said you'd been friendly with him for months by then. So what did y'all talk about in those months before he offered you $360,000/year to work for Russia?
/ Q7: Having just left Greece in early May 2017, you went back again almost immediately—while Putin was there and (it appears) maybe Oleg Deripaska. How many Russians did you meet with in Athens between May 27 and May 31, 2016? Just a number will be fine.
/ Q8: What *was* it about your late May 2016 visit to Mifsud's place of employment (Link Campus University in Italy) that made you *immediately* hop on a plane to go to Athens just as Vladimir Putin was arriving there? What did Mifsud say to you in Italy?
/ Q9: Why did Greek news report your first trip to Greece in May '16—with McFarlane/McFarland pal Cropsey—was "incognito," "in secret", and made "with absolute secrecy," such that you were "whispering" interviews to journalists? What were you hiding—and who told you to hide it?
/ Q10: When you sat next to Sessions for 2+ hours during one of his dinners at the Capitol Hill Club in late spring 2016—you know, the dinner your co-Trump speechwriter Richard Burt was at, discoursing on Russia—exactly what did you tell Jeff about your big Russia back-channel?
/ Q11: Why were you the longest-serving member of Trump's National Security Advisory Committee—what did you particularly bring to the table? And why didn't they hire you—if in fact you didn't tell them in late January '17 that the FBI had questioned you? Explain their decision.
/ Q12: You had a meeting with Trump's Chief of Staff and a Greek pol in a Memorandum of Understanding with Putin's Russian Institute of Strategic Studies—which plotted the Russian interference campaign—at Trump's inauguration. So what did y'all talk about? The weather? Russia?
/ Q13: It seems sort of odd that you have this amorphous, incredibly suspicious (yet never written about) relationship with Mike Flynn—who appears to have gotten you your job—at the time (a) you introduce Trump to Egypt's president and (b) Flynn is lobbying Egypt. Explain that?
/ Q14: In September 2016, you spoke to to Interfax—Russian media—assuring a Russian audience Trump would *drop all sanctions* on Russia. Lanza gave you clearance, but who else knew you'd be giving that interview? This was after the NatSec team knew Russia was committing crimes.
/ Q15: No one—no one—knows what the hell the London Centre of International Law Practice is, why they hired you, what you did there, what Mifsud (your co-worker) did there, why you called yourself a LCILP "director" at the RNC, why they sent you to Italy in March 2016. Explain.
/ Q16: Sessions and Gordon claim Clovis and Manafort conspired to keep *all your emails* from them—such that they never knew *anything* about your activities involving Russia. I guess my question is, what small child just hit on the head with a brick do you think believes that?
/ Q17: John Mashburn says you emailed him about Russia having Clinton's emails. Mashburn now works at the Department of Energy. You were trying to get a job at the Department of Energy via Mashburn in January 2017. And you expect us to believe you didn't email him about Mifsud?
/ Q18: Three weeks after an Israeli agent tried to recruit you—a Trump NatSec adviser—in Tel Aviv, another Israeli agent was at Trump Tower offering his services directly to Donald Trump Jr. Somewhere in there you made $10,000. Is there any connection between those two events?
/ Q19: According to the government, after your arrest in July of 2017 they asked you to continue working with them to catch your former colleagues talking about Russia. What did that entail? And though you don't want to discuss it now—because you want a job—how did it work out?
/ Q20: So at the *same time* you announce you want a career in GOP politics, you attack the man (Alex Downer) who you stupidly spilled Mifsud's beans to—saddling Trump with the Mueller probe. What baby born 6 minutes ago do you think sees no connection between those two facts?
/ My point, @GeorgePapa19, is @jaketapper is awesome—I'm a big fan of his—but he's a generalist, and I've been focusing my attention on *you* for a long time. So I got questions Jake would've never thought of. How many answers does Mueller have? That's my last question for you.
PS/ (Anyone who knows me knows that that's not true. I have *many* more questions for you. But I figured I had to stop somewhere, and 20 questions you won't under any circumstances be willing to answer is, I think, just about enough for now. Good thing the judge didn't ask them!)
NOTE/ I think what I'm saying, @GeorgePapa19, is I'm a former criminal defense attorney, and out of sympathy for your own criminal defense attorney I'm going to channel his wisdom and tell you *you need to get off Twitter immediately and avoid nonsense like what you're tweeting*.
