This woman doesn't comprehend reality. Other races do not orbit around 'whiteness'. In Asia the structure is around the Asian race, in Africa the African race, in Latin America, it is around Hispanics. In Europe around white and some mixed in southern and eastern Europe.
If other races revolved around 'whiteness' as Hathaway proclaims, then there would be white power structures in every country on every continent. However, there aren't, they structured by the most populace race of those countries.
Some countries, like South Africa, had white leaders up until the end of that power structure such as the end of Apartheid. South Africa is no longer governed that way. It also hasn't improved, never really has during its entire history of existence. An anomaly of failure.
Also, the Middle East is not a bastion of 'whiteness' either. Maybe the real racist is Ms. Hathaway and her ilk for seeing these other races around the world that are actually thriving, but she still sees them somehow subjected by whites which is far from reality.
She also doesn't understand the multiracial leadership we have in this great country of ours. We have people from nearly every demographic in government from the local through national level, some of those people are immigrants or first generation Americas.
We have governors in multiple states that are black or Hispanic. We also have politicians from the state legislatures and the US Congress/Senate that come from most every race or demographic. They certainly don't revolve around 'whiteness' or they'd be afraid to speak.
They couldn't even be elected if they had revolve around 'whiteness' because they'd be held down from being able to even seek political office let alone be elected to it. We have police chiefs from every walk of life. Male, female, white, Hispanic, black, Asian, & more.
We also have gay politicians that serve openly, some of which have served for years, some served years ago before leaving office. We have our first openly gay US Ambassador to Germany. We also have gays openly serving in the military and police forces around the country.
Ms. Hathaway is illinformed and denigrates the service of these great Americans from all walks of life by saying they 'revolve' around whiteness' when each and every one of them speaks openly and freely what they think and how they feel.
