Friends: I know many of you feel as frustrated as me. Beginning October 1, it’s time to get off Twitter & get to work. There are many ways to help, but the 4 most effective ways are to knock on doors, phone bank, text voters, & donate directly to candidates. If not those, then /1 
There are so many other ways to get involved. You can feed volunteers by buying snacks and drinks for campaign offices; you can open your home to host a phone bank even if you don’t want to make calls yourself; you can make lemonade stands with your kids to show support for /2
Your local candidates; you can write postcards to voters; you can volunteer to drive elderly or disabled voters on Election Day; you can do the absolute easiest job - text out the vote to remind voters of Election Day; you can buy office supplies for a local campaign office; /3
You can do 1 of my favorite things - drive around canvassers, especially millenials who don’t have their own cars; you can register voters; you can watch the kids of voters or watch your friends‘ kids on Election Day so that everyone makes it to the polls; you can send pizza /4
To a group of phone bankers or a campaign office; you can buy water bottles for canvassers; you can donate office furniture or space to campaigns; you can host a political book or poker club night to talk about whom you’re voting for; and you can show up at rallies. Think of /5
Volunteering for a campaign as taking small bites of a new food. Just try it - to help a campaign you actually don’t have to commit an entire Saturday or a whole evening. You don’t have to know what you are doing. If you cancel, you don’t get in trouble, but if you show up, /6
I PROMISE YOU, you will be glad you did something. Trust me. I had literally done nothing politically until spring of 2016. I found it all so doable in small bites that I launched a national grassroots campaign for Hillary to teach/show others how easy it was. I got 1st timers /7
