2. But heavy hints Budget is going to be ‘slimline’ - a ‘holding’ position until Brexit settled one way or the other
3. Therefore anyone looking for big changes or sudden big cash splurges at end of Oct likely to be disappointed
4. And don’t expect final decisions on how to pay for the extra 20bn for the NHS - NHS yet to produce final plan which was always going to take 6 months after May’s promise in the summer
5. But.... with the PM’s austerity vow in her speech there is extra political pressure to come up with something that seems more generous - and there might be an NHS budget rabbit, even if a a small one
