2/9 Observant takes an obsessive approach to privacy; the iOS SDK processes everything on-device, and *never* sends any images, video, biometric or other sensitive data to the cloud. And that’s just for starters. Read more about privacy here: observantai.com/privacy
3/9 This was borne out of a pain point with Buglife, our mobile bug reporting software: telling users to shake their phone or to take a screenshot always felt less-than-ideal.
4/9 So many bugs + UX shortcomings continue to exist because people don’t have the time to report bugs, or don’t know how to express frustration or confusion with existing software.
5/9 So we created a way to simply detect user frustration & confusion. And soon expanded that to include happiness, sadness, surprise, contempt, and more.
6/9 Technology that analyzes human emotion has a broad range of applications; while empowering beta testers & UX research was our starting point, emotion recognition can be used to diagnose early onset Alzheimer’s, train autonomous vehicles, and much more. pscp.tv/w/1ynJOYRaPLlKR
7/9 We’re currently rolling this out as an invite-only program, so that we can ensure we really nail down all of the privacy aspects of this. To date, this has entailed everything from adding multiple layers of opt-in dialogs...
8/9 ...to working with our partners’ legal teams to make sure they get their TOUs & policies right.
