Our wilful ignorance of the impact of poverty and its role in brexit is concerning -> “the poor are living in misery while the rich are getting richer”. He then adds: “It’s the same in the UK, no? I think you will see a similar thing there soon” -
before anyone says "brexit will make it more difficult for the poor" just understand, you are clueless to what is happening - utterly ignorant, a fool. Tensions have been stoked enough with the poor demonised as racists, as uneducated and as not knowing what they're doing.
What is needed is calm, sensible and soothing voices. Those who have some understanding.
