Dozens of you worked hard for it.
My last thoughts on the issue before I call it a day -
Parliament of largest democracy of d world passes a draconian anti-Muslim bill &MPs of ruling party chant ‘BharatMatakiJai’
I called it communal coz-
-It was a slogan of triumph of majoritarianism over minority rights
-There’s no place 4a religious slogan in a secular parliamnt
Amused at the naivety of the liberal Jamat that has no problem with BMKJ raised in pro-rape rallies in Kathua, anti Muslim riots in Gujarat &elsewhere, while killing a policeman in Bulandsheher &now anti Muslim laws in Parliament. But has a problem with me calling it communal.
I don’t care for the daily Right Wing onslaught but the ‘liberal’ attack on me is shocking.
Before calling me communal look at your majoritarian aggression that corners a person just because her view is contrary to yours. While india is still a democracy.
The last thing the majority community should do is to give lectures on communalism.
For you it may be the subject of research and writing, for minority it is the reality they live with everyday. Your majority privilege will never let you experience what communalism feels like.
By cornering me, pushing me and bullying me into agreeing to your viewpoint, you are not asking me to show loyalty to my nation but asking for plain subservience.
Your onslaught on me does not make me less of an indian.
I would always love my country the way I want to
Jai Hind!
