Because I helped Rahaf, this “news” clip from MBC - 1st Arabic-language 24hr satellite channel (believed to have close ties to #Saudi royals) - says “Mona Eltahawy is a feminist extremist who hates men and wants women to have sex in the streets.”

I have clearly made it. In lieu of an official statement from #Saudi regime, I am taking this as their statement. It is propaganda, defamation & incitement all at once. This is why #Saudi regime poured so much money into Arabic-language media - so that they can use it like this.

In a 2006 journal article, Arab-American academic Marwan M. Kraidy stated that MBC was owned by members of the #Saudi royal family. I am drawing your attention @hrw @amnesty @stephenkalin and those who understand how the Saudi royal family and MBS operate to the above clip.

And I want you all, TwitterLand, to bear witness to this #Saudi state-sponsored incitement. Note they use a picture of me with a Nigerian-American friend (as they did in cyber army attacks). This is Saudi state-sponsored misogyny and racism and slut-shaming. Incredible.

There was a time when this TV channel was considered ground-breaking - soon after CNN launched, MBC was 1st 24-hr channel in Arabic. And now they peddle in #Saudi state-sponsored misogyny, racism and slut-shaming incitement.

As @NYTBen reports here, #Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman was interested in buying MBC in 2016 and detained its owners and many shareholders among those he rounded up at the Ritz Carlton - so I maintain this is state-sponsored incitement google.com/amp/s/www.nyti…

So I am considering this Crown Prince Emancipator of Women’s Message to Mona. I am proud to have so angered the boy king who ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and the detention and torture of women’s rights activists. 💪🏽💪🏽

This is all a reminder of what Rahaf escaped. This is a reminder of why Saudi women escape and seek asylum. #EndMaleGuardianship

Any attorneys out there want to sue this “TV network” for me? All the money I’ll get will go towards setting up a fund to help #Saudi women who want to escape.
