1/ Someone please do this idea (I have no time). Ideally new-grad or anyone looking to have an A+ project in their portfolio. High viral potential.

Basically a website that provides instant loans for federal employees impacted by the shutdown at ZERO interest. Here's how...

2/ Every year, there's at least one government shutdown and many of the employees impacted are unfortunately working "pay cheque to pay cheque".

It makes no sense for these people to be penalized and having to take a loan + pay interest. The solution?

3/ A website that connects "lenders" (people like you & me) to federal employees who need the loan.

When the shutdown is over, the federal employee pays back the lender with ZERO expectation of interest.

4/ Could add on the option for the federal employee to pay the equivalent of "market rate interest" to charity, a gift to the lender, or "pay what you can" model

5/ The challenges though? Some sort of legit verification system, fake govt ID profiles, payment infrastructure etc...

6/ So realistically, this is more of a "portfolio project" where the backend doesn't really exist. So the final CTA could just be a page being "oh this isn't actually working, but here's a link to some charities that are helping impacted federal employees you can donate to"

7/ So why is this a great "portfolio project"? High vitality potential, just launch it up on product hunt and should get quite a bit of upvotes + probability it gets picked up on mainstream media just for the "message it represents" vs. the actual functioning project

8/ If this is now the "goal or scope", it's simply just a front-end website (could build it via unbounce) and just have the right copy to get the essence of the idea so people will share it because of what it represents

9/ If it gets popular --> boom --> you have an amazing story + portfolio. And maybe, someone might just build this out properly for the next time!
