Edmonton rolled out a juicy bonus this month for local homeowners looking to upgrade windows, furnaces and insulation.

But I’ll let you in on a secret. No one thinks this is a silver bullet.

#yeg will top up the carbon-tax rebate by an additional 20% for furnaces, windows, insulation... (as it does for solar).
But the bump-up is expected to convince all of 300 homeowners to take action this year (that's 300 of 300,000 eligible properties).

Like Aristotle once argued, knowledge can be an end in itself and can provide joy in itself. Developed nations get that. Libraries are not wasted spaces. They exist to both delight and train minds. Museums, galleries and parks are not optional. People fight to preserve them.
When things break down in those countries, the default response is to repair them. Things work because they should work, not because there is always a financial reward. The people have embraced a value system that makes it so.

Whoa Whoa.... so we all know that @facebook is extremely ANTI-INDIGENOUS and please don't hijack this thread to talk about it's other faults, I know about them and I'm here to talk about it's treatment of Native peoples.
So, @facebook is known to ban Native people for having Native names. Folks opposing and attacking Natives have often taken advantage of that fact by reporting Native accounts as Fake Accounts and Fake Names and getting them shut down until they provided proof to Facebook
. @Facebook has also given Native Hate groups a platform in which they can spew hate and misinformation, when reported Facebook tells us the accounts are not in violation of their policies and that the content is not racist, although it may be in "bad taste"

From a friend on FB that also served in USAF for years before me:
1. I just got my taxes done for 2017. The same person from H&R Block has done my taxes for years. She's a retired Army Colonel (Nurse). So far, no complaints at all.
2. She's done a great job and anyone in the local area looking for someone who is good just let me know. She fits the bill to a T. One of the services H&R Block is providing this year is to break down what your taxes were in 2017
3, and then provide a side by side look at what they will be in 2018 all things being equal. As most of you know, 2018 is the first year of President Trump's new tax plan. Well, I'll owe about $3,000 less in taxes.
