Just as #clients need better #value propositions, #law firms need better business models. Meaningful #legal #transformation will occur where the two intersect.

(Bc I’m a tweetable factory. 🤷🏻♀️)
Legacy models of law practice aren’t built for the pace of #business and volume of #information of the #digital age.
More #hours from more #lawyers can’t be the default answer.
More simply, current economic incentives fail most stakeholders.
There are SO many unserved & underserved #customer segments and acute needs/pain points that could translate to #business opportunity.
These market failures extend beyond the enterprise legal market to #PeopleLaw & #A2J.
Root causes are big, complex, systemic: they need to be decomposed into manageable components.
Market solutions need to address the market segment by segment. This takes time + (lots of) work.
And creating/building those solutions will require #expertise in #tech, #business and yes the #law.
And did I mention time + (lots and lots of) work?
Whichever path ☝️ you take, it is a long hard slog. 👏 to all of you.
We work in an industry that is intensely skeptical & often cynical.
This makes #courage harder & #optimism more important.
Language both shapes and reflects attitude.
Thank you for coming to my #morningthoughts 🤔💭☕️
