Hi @ThomTillis! Question for you.

First - I see that you are planning to vote against Trump's National Emergency declaration on separation of powers grounds.

If President Trump is invoking statutory authority and not executive power, how is there a separation of powers issue?
Second, @ThomTillis, I see you co-sponsored legislation to "protect" the special counsel.

Given that the authority to prosecute is a "purely executive" power, how do you reconcile restricting the President's authority in this manner with the separation of powers?
Third, @ThomTillis - For some reason you decided to publish your op-ed in the left-wing, Trump-hating Washington Post.

Democrats don't publish their op-eds in Breitbart.

If you had to do this damn silly thing, why did you do it in this damn silly way?
