With regard to many people assuming that Manafort is just waiting for a Trump pardon, here's some good perspective about why that most likely won't happen: #FridayFeeling

2-Bill Shine's abrupt departure from the WH has me wondering-after the New Yorker pc @ the Fox/Trump connection & the DNC's announcement yest that Fox won't be permitted to conduct any Dem primary debates-is the WH trying to distance itself from Fox publicly now? Could be!
3-NYT is saying that Shine is being kept on the campaign as a Sr Adv 'in a face saving move'. This is what Trump does when he fires ppl and doesn't want them to talk, puts em on the campaign with a 15K/mo salary-something tells me that more will be revealed @ this. And soon

Ed asks if GOP Congress members helping Trump cover up an ongoing conspiracy with Russia are guilty of crimes.

Spoiler 1: Probably not.
Spoiler 2: The solution to the GOP shielding Trump (most likely) won't come through criminal justice. We have a political problem.
1/ Helping someone cover up a crime can be a crime.

“Accessory after the fact” means you know a crime happened and you shield the person who committed the crime.

There are 3 elements to this crime:
2/ Person B is an accessory after the fact if:

💠Person A committed a crime
💠Person B knows A committed a crime
💠B assists A with the intent to help A get away with the crime.

To prove guilt, there must be evidence to support each element beyond reasonable doubt.
