If state legislatures were passing laws compelling speech on campus for an SJW topic - affirmations of support for trans rights, disavowals of racism - half of my twitter followers would be losing their ever loving minds. dallasobserver.com/news/pro-israe…
It would be all anyone could talk about. It would dominate the debate. It would blot out the sun. Nothing I could say, no excuse I might muster, would be able to hang in the air more than a second before those laws would be thrown in my face. The ultimate and unanswerable retort.
But that’s not how it’s working out, is it?
Instead they spend months, years, going on about DEI statements. A complex topic that deserves to be discussed. But how about a little perspective, people, and some proportionality.
