2....I think one of the big things here is that parents are talking about how their rich kids are too stupid to succeed on their own, and the kids don't know this is being done for them.... 
3...the lead guy said he had done this 761 times. For at least seven elite schools...
4...parents would LITERALLY tell the chief fraudster what they wanted their kids scores to be. And the proctor would in some cases then take the test for the kid. This is Jane Buckingham, CEO of a marketing agency....
5...Because the proctor was taking the test for Buckingham's son, and he had already taken the ACT once, the proctor needed to forge his writing.....
6...the writing sample came in. As you can see, the kid looks like a real genius. He can't write a sentence without making an error.....
7...after Buckingham's dumb son got a 35 out of 36 on the ACT that was taken by the proctor, she said she wanted to do the same thing for her dumb daughter, although she didn't need a 35....
8...then there is Gordon Caplan. co-chair of the international law firm Wilkie Farr & Gallagher. He wanted much more explanation of how the scheme works before he put his unqualified daughter through it....
9...the easiest thing for Caplan's daughter - who must have known what was going on - the lead fraudster advised that she must pretend to be "stupid" (probably not hard for her) so this girl in online high school could get extended time on SAT for fake disability....
10...and lots of kids were pretending to have disabilities to get extended time on test....
11...making it all the worse, they planned to use the fake disabilities to get extended time for SAT to ALSO get extended time for test taking in college. Obviously, they were too dumb for these colleges....
11...and "lots" of families were paying this guy to get the fake disability judgment, then discussing how much it would cost for a particular score....
12...of course, the big issue is, well, even if the kids got ACT/SAT scores rigged, they STILL had to get good high school grades. No problem! The schemers would take the kids class tests for them online....
13...but with Caplan, the prime schemer once again warns that the kid may think she's smart, but to prepare to tell her she cannot take the ACT again to raise the score. Because she can't. Because she aint smart....
14...of all the things in this FBI affidavit, this one pisses me off the most. Caplan says eh is not worried about the "moral issues," just worried about his daughter getting caught. But she won't say anything about the cheating on high school grades, Caplan says....
15...one big problem is that the kids have to go to a specific testing place where the proctor has been bribed. Caplan is in Connecticut, but needs to be in California. How do that? Why...lie about going to a bar mitzvah or other immovable event!...
16...what about really stupid kids, who - if they got much higher scores the second time taking standardized tests would raise suspicion? A problem recognized, so they arranged to do well, but not TOO well....
17...then there are the Abbotts. The father is the chairman of a food packaging company. First, Abbott seems to have paid for ANOTHER kid in addition to his daughter to get a good standardized test score....
18...kids also take SAT subject tests, which are very specific. These are not essential for kids for all colleges, but they are hugely beneficial at all colleges. How to do it for their stupid kids? Pay someone to take those tests too....
19...this goes on and on and on. Every element of the admissions process was undermined. Smart kids without connections and immoral families got pushed aside for this.
