There is something concerning about the group Conservative Friends Of Russia which was founded in 2012. It's been bugging me for a while. Matthew Elliot was a co-founder and of course we know about his place in the tangled web of brexit criminality. 1/ #FBPE
However, just a little research throws up some interesting names. Back in 2012 Andrew Rosindell would have meant nothing to me. However, in recent years he has revealed himself to be very much part of the AltRight machine. He was an honourary Vice President of CFR. 2/
Defence and Foreign Secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind was CFR's Honorary President...at the same time he was Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee between 2010-2015. it is somewhat concerning that the Chair of the ISC was involved in the CFR.... 3/
It becomes more concerning when one sees that, according to Wiki entry, "as Chairman of the ISC Rifkind presided over the transformation of the Committee's powers to ensure that it had effective oversight of MI5, MI6 and GCHQ." = greater political control of security services 4/
This wouldn't mean so much if it wasn't for the fact that throughout brexit the security services have been conspicuously silent. One has to wonder if they have been told not to look to investigate covert interference with the ref or just told to be quiet. 5/
Clearly the rest of us were focused on the Olympics in 2012 but one wonders if there were conversations with Russia via CFR regarding supporting a future brexit ref. Remember Matthew Elliot was there... 6/
It is notable that Nigel Evans MP was also part of CFR who is a brextremist and supportive of @LeaveMnsLeave. John Whittingdale was there, now member of the ERG who acted in official capacity for Vote Leave. 7/
Of course much of this has been written about already but I can not help but feel that CFR was one place where the seeds of foreign support for brexit were sown. When we look at the characters involved, they don't appear to have been doing it for Queen & Country. #FBPE
So why were they there? Personal gain? Oligarch gifts? One wonders how their bank accounts fared at that time. We certainly know what they all did subsequently, and that's without going into details about who else was involved in CFR.
Anyway, just a thought however there is something very suspicious about it. It also tells us something about Tory doctrine. Money rules, and they'll lie down with anyone & fuck over everyone to get it. Look at Johnson's mates! #FBPE
One more thing, what we can say is that they have acted in conjunction with foreign interest against the national interest whether with Russian contacts or indeed the US side of the brexitcoup, Bannon, Mercer, Koch et al...
And what is the common denominator amongst this Washington-London-Moscow West East axis? A belief in mafia capitalism, authoritarianism and a desire to weaken Europe. #FBPE
And of course weaken the UK so it becomes a super power puppet... owned and run by foreign power and their Manchurian candidates, exporting, more than anything else,... hate. #FBPE
