it seems iron condor is a popular nifty weekly expiry , and getting coverage in business news channels and an option trading seminar circuit is about be launched ?? per sources
we take a a pen and pencil , and on wed close short ATM PE and ATM CE of bnk nifty index and buy atm + 100 ce , and atm -100 pe and on thu close we let it expire !!
as an example trade on 19 mar 2019 with bnidx at 19767 , we short 29800 pe at 111 and 29800 CE at 131 , and buy 29700 pe for 73 and 29900 CE at 86 , for the 20mar2019 expiry series
on expiry everything went to zero except the 29800 CE which settled at 16, thus our trade with a contract size of 20 , made , 20*111 + 20*115-20*73-20*86 = 1320 , on a capital of say 70*2= 140K , about 0.9% ROI per week
if the game continues like that 0.9%*52 = 47% per year , you see how easy peasy is to generate money in option trading ,
snack and tea break and participants are in awe my goodness this is like safe and easy way to make to meet driver and maid salaries also , wifi's lipstick , shampoo , perfume , and kids pizzas burgers and weekend movies et.al
but if we take a pen and paper and count since jun 2016 till date , the output of all trades looks something like this for 2019 ->
