Holy #}^*#^#$. I would not have picked Reed Hundt to burst the Obama bubble. So far, this book ‘A Crisis Wasted’ is searing and honest. The sadness drips through. acrisiswasted.com
Reed Hundt is the establishment Dem of establishment Dems, and he is openly and sadly calling the Obama Presidency a failure.
Hundt talks about how Lincoln argues crises were moments to ‘save our country.’ Then, “the thesis of this book is that Obama and team did not do well by Lincoln’s standard.”

Hundt was a big Obama fan. This is a significant admission.
“Democrats needed to understand that the election demonstrated widespread disaffection with the policies espoused by Obama and Clinton.”
Obama “chose an economic recovery plan that benefitted educated well off people much more than the middle class.. finance and tech more than construction, manufacturing or retail... residents of coastal states did much better than flyover country.”
Hundt’s view matters because he understands governing. He is pointing out the problem wasn’t ‘the system.’ It was Obama’s *specific policy choices.*
