Whether you agree with the interpretations of the U.S. Constitution, whether we agree or not about what this word or that word means, it’s still OURS. Our votes should decide elections & how it’s interpreted into law, not any foreign power.
This #RedactedMuellerReport shines a great big spotlight on an entire campaign, so hellbent on winning that they welcomed a foreign adversary’s help, tried to cover it up and fire anyone investigating it. Not one care in the world for the U.S. Constitution.
If this was a Democratic Campaign, I’d be just as determined to set it right. I’m not so interested in comparing impeachments- we have ONE impeachment in our history that even slightly parallels. We are a young country. What we do now will determine our future.
There will be (and have been) completely crooked Dems that run for office. We send a message through inaction that if you want to win, you just need to get elected any way you can, then you become above the law.
I get that impeachment and the fallout is significant. But when do we decide that our right to freely elect our leaders is worth it? When do we stand up for OUR Constitution? Later? When Russia helps elect someone just as corrupt or worse that happens to be a Democrat? Really??
Is winning what it’s really about? Nevermind that we fought our way out from under a King. I’ll believe in the America that we can grow into until I’m dead & gone, but I will be ashamed to live in an America that doesn’t stand up for its own basic foundation and freedoms.
It’s not red or blue or purple or green to impeach or remove a President who does not honor his/her/their Oath of Office and protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. It’s go time. #ImpeachTrumpNow
