This part of the Mueller Report is being cited endlessly as reflecting badly on Trump. But it actually suggests Trump was right. The fact of the Mueller investigation, even though no one knew what it would turn up, was used to attack Trump's basic legitimacy 
Despite #MuellerReport clearly falling (well) short of the maximalist claims of those, like @tribelaw, who eagerly indulged in zany collusion conspiracy theories, are now calling for *more* delegitimization despite being very wrong about said conspiracies:
I have a lot of respect for @djrothkopf, and it's a tense time, but this kind of language makes me really nervous. To basically say that 40+ percent of the country—fellow American citizens all of them—are a threat to their own country?
