FM: "I hope everybody across the chamber welcomes the fact that Scotland, in the commitments we're making today, are not just continuing our role as a world leader but we're redefining the bar of world leadership. Everybody in Scotland should be proud of that." #FMQs

FM: "Meeting those targets means we have to up our ambition and action across the whole range of government responsibilities, and that puts a responsibility on the shoulders of opposition parties not to have knee-jerk opposition to everything that's tough or challenging." #FMQs

FM: "It's because of the actions we've been taking across a whole range of areas that we have already almost halved our emissions. The record in Scotland is a good one and is recognised globally as such. But all of us recognise we have to do more, we have to do it faster." #FMQs

FM: "The renewed commitment we've made today will mean we have to look at every single policy. Setting targets is one thing, having the policy programme in place to meet them is what really matters. That's what this government is committed to doing." #FMQs
