this is exactly how Authoritarian regimes work. This is exactly what happens in Russia. Trump has shattered all norms and is destroying our Democracy. It can and is happening here

We need impeachment hearings to begin ASAP because anyone who thinks trump will leave willingly is not paying attention. Trump’s republicans and agencies that he is using to go after opponents are protecting him because no one is stopping them.
We need to get all evidence of Trump’s crimes out right now so people can wake up to the dangers we are in. Right now trump is intimidating/pressuring media and anyone who attempts to investigate him. Next he will use these agencies to silence critics. I feel like a broken record

.@SecPompeo refuses to bring up Russia’s attacks on US election with his counterparts but Lavrov at their meeting today apparently had no issues handing Pompeo a memorandum accusing US of interfering in Russia. Unreal
Now Pompeo will meet with Putin to possibly plan out Putin’s meet with Trump next month. Pompeo will meet with Lavrov again (3rd time) next month as well
Russian media now reporting that Pompeo did respond by expressing hopes that Russia will not interfere again and they can put this behind them
