One thing to note: @realDonaldTrump lists *revenue* for his properties. Not profit. That tells you what $ came in the door, but not how much went out again to pay expenses, taxes, interest, etc. Doral, for instance, had $75M in revenue on the form in 2017, but $4.2M in profit.
Heres the breakdown of revenues and operating expenses at Doral in 2017. Shows how expensive it is to run the place.
@Fahrenthold then you still have to pay taxes, mortgage interest, etc. so $75M in revenue becomes $4.3M in net operating income.

This yr, I think of our Trump Org. coverage as 3 I’s:
1. Income. How’s the biz doing financially?
2. Influence. Who might try to influence @realdonaldtrump thru his biz?
3. Immigration. Is the biz using undocumented labor, despite Trump’s rhetoric against it? 1/
On the Influence front:
We wrote about how 9 top @TMobile execs checked into @realdonaldtrump’s D.C. hotel on the day after they announced a merger that will need Trump admin approval. 2/ washingtonpost.com/politics/a-pla…
In all, @TMobile execs spent $195K at @realdonaldtrump’s hotel in 10 months.
