My central point is that because of @jacklgoldsmith’s central point, any impeachment inquiry is doomed to failure and thus @SpeakerPelosi won’t allow it to begin b/c to do so will expose the weakness of the “obstruction” argument while also drawing focus to #Spygate. 2
Any impeachment proceedings will be the occasion for calling many witnesses from the Mueller team to answer not only what they thought about @realDonaldTrump but also about the sources of the Dossier, why they did not pursue that line of inquiry, the FISA warrant(s), and more. 3
I’m one of those Republicans who credit @SpeakerPelosi with the political instincts to avoid carrying forward any focus on he potential Cointelpro 2.0 that AG Barr has tasked USA John Durham with reviewing. #Spygate isn’t where the Ds want to spend the next 18 months. 4
