Thread: I'm sick and tired of this Unionistic and right wing led delusion that Scotland wanting independence is racist, or even based upon race. No, in fact, I'm f*cking livid that the race card is pulled out when Scottish Independence is raised. And here's why...

I was born in England and lived there for the first 33 years of my life. That would label me as English, right? For those who love the labelling of things, my place of birth makes me English. In 2007 I moved from England to Scotland to be with my partner who was born in Scotland.

At the time she was pregnant with our first child. Since that time we have gone on to have two more children. So my partner and children are Scottish. I'm English. I moved here without any issue. Without any fear of racism. Yes, at the start I was aware that every time

I opened my mouth my accent would make me stand out from those who were born and bred here. But guess how many times being an Englishman in Scotland has caused me an issue.

I'll tell you; ZERO. A bit fat, huge, ziltch.

Scotland does NOT hate England. The Scots do not hate English people who have decided to settle in Scotland and call Scotland their home. For goodness sake, the Scottish people are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met.

So when I hear someone saying that @NicolaSturgeon is racist, or anti-English for wanting an independent Scotland, they clearly have no f*cking clue as to what they're talking about. If a person truly understood who the Union affected

Scotland they would fully understand why Scotland wants Independence and what they want Independence from. Scotland is simply fed up with being treated like a mule by Westminster. Nothing more and nothing less. To think it's about race shows a lack of understanding.

Scotland deserves better than the deal it gets as being part of the Union. Scotland can do better being free of the Union. Everything you may have heard that says otherwise is fearmongering from those who stand to lose the most by Scotland being independent.

And those who stand to lose the most from Scotland being independent are those who have plundered the crap out of Scotlands resources for hundreds of years for their own gain. There's a reason why Scotland hasn't flourished under the Union control while

many parts of England have. Scotland is a very rich nation/country but that wealth has been pissed away at the expense of generations of people who live in Scotland. Scotland has had enough now which is why an IndyRef is so important to the future of Scotland.

Scottish Independence is NOT anything to do with racism. If you feel it is then it's probably not your fault. The media do a very good job at pushing the narrative they're told to push by those who control them. Shame really.

But come and check things out for yourself. Come up and visit Scotland for your next holiday. It's a truly incredible place to visit and an even better place to live regardless of where you were born.
