How we know climate change is bullshit. Episode 4,392.

From ft.com/content/d7ec60… by @KuperSimon via @RogerPielkeJr
Even if it were true, it would only hold for a few weeks a year. All of Europe has a winter of some kind. And a spring and autumn.

Moreover, Europe's productivity problems are political, not meteorological. High unemployment in the south has nothing to do with climate change.
More illness? Which diseases? How will they be caused by a such a slight increase? Even the '03 and more recent heatwaves in which tens of thousands are *assumed* to have died do not seem to have shifted death stats. People in Europe are living much longer, healthier lives.
And which regions will become uninhabitable? Not anywhere I can think of from north to south, east to west. By what cause?

The FT is sci-fi. And its journalists are insane. That's the size of it.
Tomorrows refugees from Africa Kuper imagines will, like today's migrants, are more likely to be fleeing political and economic circumstances than weather.

The IPCC itself calls the fear 'alamism'. So where does his dire forecast come from?

He makes it up.
There is no evidence, then, outside of the writer's wild imagination, that a slight increase in temperature will dominate politics to the exclusion of all else.
Given the C20th as a baseline, there is in fact very good evidence that even 2 degrees of global warming will demand *fewer* political resources than a putative static climate has demanded, by 2050.
Of course, climate change dominating *all* of political life is *exactly* what climate zealots want.

And so do politicians. Because climate change alarmism lets them establish the lowest possible expectations.

It's a neat trick.
Corrected typos:

"Tomorrow's African refugees that Kuper imagines, like today's migrants, are more likely to be fleeing political and economic circumstances than weather. "
