Seeking clarification on what this actually means. @WhiteHouse not discussing on the record whether @KimDarroch is just a virtual 'persona non grata' in eyes of @POTUS or whether there'll be diplomatic ramifications. Queries being directed to @StateDept on that.
US and UK established diplomatic relations in 1785, broke relations when Washington declared war in 1812; relations were reestablished in 1815.
