Macron do warned the others NOT to give 6 months extension to the UK, just few weeks until end of April 2019. Moderate Merkel and Tusk have won last time. We all see now Macron was right. No more favors to the British bullies.

Honestly nobody wants you in EU anymore. Literally no-one. Even Le Pen and Orban.

I would personally give 10% of my pay to see the back of Johnson his racists mates Farage, Trump and the UK.

If UK wants to be in the EU again it will take many years and a lot of humble pie eating to let you in again. Good luck.

Maybe UK needs to be alone for sometime.

UK need to lose some freedoms and have some No Deal hardship to understand what is losing.

IMHO the though love is the way here.

Barnier, Merkel and Juncker are way too soft. The reason is they want to make that as painless as possible for all including the UK. I think that is a mistake. The same way when you're too soft with your kids.

Witout UK EU's total GDP is $17 trillions.

EU is the largest economy in the world, largest trading block, ranks first in both inbound and outbound international investments, top trading partner for 80 countries. US is top trading partner for a little over 20 countries. Meh...

UK has zero trade deals outside the EU at the moment.
You need to stay alone for some time outside to cool off. Then we will talk again and have all the great trade deals. Like the one we have with Switzerland.

This happens when on one side of the table you have a small developed country and on the other side is the biggest economy in the world with 500m market.

Macron was right. EU should have given 29 March ext. ONLY if “credible justifications” for an article 50 extension did exist. They might include an election, another referendum or softer proposals for Britain’s future relationship with the EU.

EU should have NOT given 6m extension to the UK without clear commitment from the UK for what 6m will be used!

French President Emmanuel Macron said: “We could probably extend for a couple of weeks to prepare ourselves in the markets.”

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz says the EU has set "very clear deadlines and there is no reason to further extend those deadlines".
He added: ”Unless the facts in Britain change. But we have not yet reached this point."

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said: “The truth is we are a little bit, err... how should I put it, we feel a bit surprised at the inability of the British political systems to reach a common position.”

Mark Rutte, the Dutch prime minister, has said the UK has failed to outline what it wants from an extension.

He said: “The plan was that the British would explain what they wanted from the EU.

"A letter was sent today which, as far as I am concerned, doesn’t answer this request.”

George Ciamba, the Romanian foreign affairs minister, told a press conference today the UK was using a Brexit delay as an instrument rather than a plan.

He also tweeted earlier: "It is important for us to understand why the UK wants to stay (longer), you have to stay with a view to something.”
