Leaders of the party whose rhetoric, President, and leading media outlets shaped the world view of today’s anti-immigrant mass murderer find his actions “senseless.”
Senseless
You could choose to be angry at the hateful anti-immigrant and racist nationalist ideology that gave “sense” to this man’s actions, but that might piss off your base. So instead, we get the word “senseless” to describe something all too easy to comprehend.
Our party has been beholden to gun manufacturers who want as many weapons of war in the hands of as many citizens as possible, but gee, how could something so “senseless” happen?
Check out the sort of memes that get posted on the FB page of one county-level GOP. You don’t get to say stuff like this and then claim violence carried out in the name of these ideas is “senseless.”
I said this in March. My prediction sadly came true today. I worry this won’t be the last time this happens. Only the GOP can kill the Frankenstein they’ve been feeding for decades. I’m not holding my breath.
Another “senseless” to add to the list. Had this act of terror been carried out by anyone other than a white nationalist, would Kellyanne have called it senseless?
I propose that all of my fellow citizens who don’t enjoy being randomly shot by heavily armed strangers vote “senseless” politicians like this out of office until they come to their senses.
This parade of senselessness is getting annoying.
Just so hard for these Republicans to make sense out of why military style weapons in civilian hands leads to mass death.
