The level of risk Cameron Ortis put Canada in is hard to over estimate.

Current information reports Ortis was working for the govt for 12 years, since 2007. The info he had access to is critical to the national security of not only Canada, but most of the western world.

Articles from concerned nations demonstrate the potential magnitude of this breach.

Bill Browder postulates there could be a Russian connection. Ortis oversaw the Canadian Russian money laundering investigation. It’s not yet clear if Ortis gave information to Russia. It’s conjecture, but within the realm of possibility.

Browder lists a similar incident in Switzerland that involved Infamous Russian lawyer and intelligence agent, Natalia Veselnitskaya and a Swiss senior federal law officer.

Much like the SNC scandal, some journalists are reporting statements from undisclosed sources. Until the public receives information directly from official sources, it’s all just speculation. Click bait. Rumours.

The next court date is Friday September 20, 2019. But the RCMP are due to give more information in a press release Sept. 17/19.

Within 24 hours, more clarity will be released publicly. But only enough to quell some of the speculation currently rampant in SM & MSM.

All we know now is he was arrested & charged with serious crimes. He had access to 5 eyes and NATO’s highest guarded intelligence. Several allies are extremely concerned, which is to be expected. What was shared with whom is unknown, & may not be known for some time.

Approach this issue with caution and patience. Amplifying disinformation helps no one. Accusing others is out of bounds. We simply do not have enough information to guess with any efficacy.

Curiosity mixed with rumours begets disinformation. It’s an interesting story. Let’s let it unfold with publicly stated facts from the official authorities.
