Shower thought: if we genuinely only have a few years left to avert cataclysmic/earth-shattering climate change, then why spend so much energy and attention on 'confronting' things like 'systemic racism' and 'implicit bias'? Shouldn't everything else be placed on the back-burner?

I was thinking that the situation becomes even more bizarre if one replaces 'asteroid' with 'climate change'. In other words, is confronting systemic racism really the best use of our time when a city-sized asteroid is headed for earth?
