On the outskirts of #RasAlAin earlier following Turkish bombardment of the town. We are the only US network here in #syria .

As we entered the town we found chaotic scenes with hundreds of civilians fleeing - streets choked with traffic and smoke from strikes

Women and children squashed into flatbed trucks told me they didn’t know where they were fleeing to - “where is safe to go?” #syria #kurds

Turkish strikes on at least four major towns, civilian casualties reported. The question now- when will Turkish military start rolling in + how will #kurdish forces respond? And what will fallout b of a security vacuum in one of the most complex + dangerous places?
