1. If pulling out would end the threat I'd be all for it. We did this in Vietnam and the adversary we had fought overran the country in weeks. Thankfully, Vietnam's Communists were nationalists seeking to liberate Vietnam from colonial domination. They weren't really our enemy.
2. But in Afghanistan, we will be surrendering to folks who want to kill us. Folks who believe our freedoms including religion, speech, democracy and equality gives them God's permission to murder us.
