Thoughts going out to the Kazakh, Belarusian, Uzbek, Georgian etc. officials waking up to the news that Trump thinks Ukraine has always been a part of Russia.
We’re literally one week from the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, and we just learned that the U.S. president thinks at least one of the post-Soviet states isn’t “real.” That’s insane!
Would love a list of countries Trump doesn’t think are “real.” Armenia? Moldova? Tajikistan? East Timor? South Sudan? Namibia? All areas that were still occupied/colonized thirty, forty, fifty years ago?
Or flip it around. Does Trump think Abkhazia is a “real” country? Or South Ossetia? Is he open to diplomatic relations with Transnistria? Maybe with the Luhansk People’s Republic? At this point, who knows!
