“Get Brexit Done” in fact means “Carry on Brexit”.
Johnson’s ruling out an extension means he will be forced to choose between “no deal”, a bare bones deal not much different from no deal (no LPF commitments and a few tariff reductions where it suits the EU), and a UK commitment-heavy deal to secure much inferior access than now.
Or the EEA or something like it.
Problems with this article are (a) that considerable resistance to GMOs and to roll-out of nuclear power exists at home; and (b) @owenpaterson offers no evidence for his assertion that State aid rules have hindered investment in new science and technology.
Indeed, the claim in (b) is almost certainly wrong. Especially if you don’t want a regime where ministers throw public science/R&D funds in the direction of who they last had lunch with, so that some procedures and controls have to be gone through. See
