These ex-Labour MPs promoting a party that has a well documented history of insidious anti-semitism and tolerance of it, on the grounds of protecting the Jewish community is a despicable and insulting ploy using Jewish people as nothing but a prop for their own personal gain 1/20
This move is blatantly motivated by nothing but self-interested careerism. It's not as well publicised as Labour antisemitism but it only takes a quick web search to tell you all you need to know about the Tories' record on standing up for Jewish people 2/20

Ian Austin + co must either
1. Know about the Conservatives' long history of antisemitism & are deceitfully ignoring it
OR
2. Not have bothered to do the slightest bit of research on the Conservatives or on antisemitism indicating quite clearly that's not what this is about 19/20
In conclusion, antisemitism should absolutely be called out on all sides of the political spectrum, but endorsing the Conservatives on the basis of Labour's antisemitism makes it clear to me you are nothing but a duplicitous and contemptible morally bankrupt snake 20/20

Is it at 220 #Labour MPs - the moment at which there might well be 320 anti-Con MPs in Parliament? Maybe not. They'd have gone backwards quite a way. Johnson would hang on and use the FTPA against them to stall.
Is it at about 235 Labour MPs, at which point Lab + SNP + PC + SDLP + Green might just equal the number of Con MPs? Maybe not, cos LDs very ambivalent and DUP won't ever, ever even tacitly assist Jez into No. 10.

Well this meeting for the potential reselection of Margaret Hodge is very busy. Maybe 400 people in here and more outside the door.
Currently running 18 minutes late. I should have brought a sandwich.
Haven't been to one of these before but I was told to bring photo ID & Labour card. When I got here I was also asked for something with my address on. I pointed out that my prov driving license has my address on it, but they insisted, so I used my banking app. Is that normal?

Despite all the evidence, there are those who still deny the severity of #LabourAntisemitism. Here's a thread detailing how institutionalised it truly is...
Starting at the very top with @JeremyCorbyn.

He infamously referred to #Hamas and #Hezbollah as "friends". Both organisations call for the extermination of #Israel, and regularly carry out attacks against #Jews. They're also both officially classified as #terrorist groups.
Perhaps the most well-known incident is #Corbyn's attendance at a wreath-laying ceremony in Tunisia in 2014, which honoured the terrorists who murdered 11 #Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Mr Corbyn claimed to be "present but not involved".

Jewish Labour/Co-op MPs left the ASLEF/Co-op party at #Lab18 because Marc Wadsworth was inside.

Luciana Berger left & Ruth Smeeth turned around at the door. The event was invite only.

Source says she asked Co-op staff to ask him to leave, but they didn’t as he was ASLEF’s guest
Source tells me Wadsworth was there with ASLEF boss and Labour NEC member Tosh McDonald.
Wadsworth was expelled from the party after he heckled Smeeth at the launch of an anti-semitism investigation.

He claims he did not know that she was Jewish, but he was expelled for bringing the party into disrepute.

First off, we must thank-you all. We launched a poll on Monday expecting maybe 500 responses maximum. Instead we had a whopping three-thousand-two-hundred-and-thirty votes on our Twitter poll.

That’s ridiculous.
We asked you which party you thought had the oldest average age of MPs.

Most of you, 66%, thought it was the @Conservatives, then the @LibDems (15%), then @UKLabour (14%), with the @theSNP coming in last with (5%).

I bet the SNP are feeling fairly youthful right about now.

Okay, since we're debating anti-semitism again, let's have a quick run-through of what #Labour might have done, and what they have done.
Have they announced a specific speech by the Leader, or Deputy Leader, admitting mistakes in the past, and laying out a *specific* policy agenda to tackle the problem? No.
Have they admitted that, while of course one finds AS in lots of places, there is a *particular variant* of the curse on the Left, which is insidiously worming its way into the party's DNA? No.
