THREAD: Let's take a look through words/pictures at the unusual ties between 3 powerful sons in law who are helping shape US Turkey relations. We start with Trump Towers Istanbul. That's then Prime Minister Erdogan cutting the ribbon in 2012. Also pictured is Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ 
Yalçındağ moves from the point person on this TRUMP family real estate project to becoming a key intermediary between Turkey & the United States, after Trump is elected president. Here he is with Commerce Sec Wilbur Ross recently
Jared Kushner was there for the 2012 launch of Trump Istanbul. Once Trump is president, he begins to handle key meetings with counterparts in Turkey, like this. That is President Erdogan of Turkey, and his son-in-law, Berak Albayrak from Feb. 2019.
A few other interesting tidbits. Remember when Michael Flynn gets hired to illegally lobby on behalf of Turkish government. Guess who participates in early meeting after Flynn is secretly doing this work.: Albayrak, the son in law of Erdogan, who was then Turkey's Energy Minister
This all comes together in April 2019: Yalcindag is at Trump Hotel in DC for the annual meeting of the Turkey-US Business Council, generating hundreds of thousands for Trump family. Event prior to 2017 had previously been held at a different DC hotel.
The other sons in law--Kushner and Albayrak are at the OVAL Office meeting with President Trump and Treasury Sec Mnuchin. This is US policy making in action, in the Trump era.
