That protest of @ewarren in support of charter schools--GOP messaging for years--was paid for by Walmart, which has reason to not want a Warren wealth tax. Then GOP-Twitter & others pushed the narrative that Warren spox Ayanna Presley is "dangerous"--black women are targets.

The attacks on @AyannaPresley were/are gross & fundamentally misogynoir. Black women's motives are always questioned in a way white women's simply never are. Warren is fortunate that Presley has her back. Presley is smart, focused & has a long political history. Not a newbie.

Attempts to typecast Presley with the "angry black woman" trope are, like the attempts to undermine AOC as an angry Latina, merely parroting establishment racism and misogyny. We can and must do better.

As for Warren deferring to Presley about the protest: Isn't this what we want in leadership? People who surround themselves with strong supports who have history and gravitas? Grim's thread 📌explains that Warren met with the protesters after the event.

The GOP and others (yes, Russia) has a lot invested in pushing sexist andd racist narratives. When folks are hot for one candidate over another, it's easy to take the bait and fall for the trap of trying to sunder the candidacy of the woman tied in most polls for 1st place.

The main proponents of charter schools in America are the GOP who want a permanent black/brown/poor white underclass. VP Pence and Betsy DeVos are the champions of charter schools. That is a clue. Charter schools make public schools worse.
