Because all our policy challenges, social, economic and environmental require much more long-term thinking; not least the long #ClimateEmergency which is a multi-decadal, existential policy challenge that demands policy continuity. 4/5
It's unrealistic to assume that your party will be in power continuously for decades. It's unhealthy for democracy too. So we have to work together where we can, starting now.
