i know its mostly clickbait content but it always sounds like people are having the worst thanksgivings arguing about politics. my family and friends barely care and when they do theyre mostly democrats or at worst barely republican. im always thinking "just dont go then?"
i did recently go to a dinner party where one lady was a 9-11 truther and i pushed back some but honestly life's too short to spend time with people you love explaining that "no actually it wasnt a missile that hit the pentagon."
i mostly just sat with a bemused grin as she went on about how it was a controlled demolition. i can't and i won't waste my time with someone so dedicated to nonsense.
