While you were sleeping, President Trump took questions alongside NATO Sec. Gen. Stoltenberg for nearly an hour. Some highlights in this thread: 
POTUS said he’s planning to meet with UK PM Boris Johnson during this trip but declined to share his thoughts on forthcoming elections. Asked why he’s staying out of the UK election, Trump said, “I don’t want to complicate it.”

I asked about the status of his relationship with Macron ahead of their meeting this afternoon. Trump said, “I’ve always had a good relationship with Emmanuel.” He said sometimes Macron does things that are “counterproductive” and that he sometimes says “things he shouldn’t say.“
Trump said he hasn’t seen the forthcoming DOJ IG report: “I purposely stay out of it.” He said it will be released “Monday or so” and he heard there are “devastating things” in it.
Trump was asked whether he thinks impeachment impacts his standing on the world stage: “I don’t think so.”

Trump said it would be “unacceptable” for the House to censure him. “I did nothing wrong... I don’t mind being censured if you do something wrong, I did nothing wrong.” He said he “wouldn’t be happy with that at all.”
Trump said South Korea agreed to pay the US $500 million more on defense. “US is paying a lot of money to protect South Korea... we think it’s fair that they pay more.” He said the US is in negotiation for South Korea to pay more and spoke for a while about burden sharing.
I asked whether he’d made a decision as to whether to have counsel present a future impeachment hearings. He said, “I’m not even thinking about it, I’m only thinking about this” and called impeachment a “waste of time.”
Asked about pleas from the Harry Dunn family to bring the wife of the US diplomat back to the UK, Trump said he’s spoken to the Dunn family and said he’s “spoken to the woman... who has diplomatic immunity.” He said they are “trying to work something out.”
Trump wouldn’t provide a deadline for China talks BUT said he thinks in some ways it’s better to wait to after the election to make a trade deal.
I also asked whether he’d comment on Prince Andrew stepping down from his royal duties. Trump declined to comment. “I don’t know him,” he said, but called news reports a “very tough story.”
The President is currently holding a closed-press working breakfast with Sec. Gen. Stoltenberg. Up next, a closed press fundraiser. Later this afternoon, bilateral meetings with Trudeau and Macron.
