Gillibrand wrote Bernie's bill yet only she got held to account for it. Harris led the support for #M4A--the moment signalled in the headline--but was deemed a waffler. And Warren is the only candidate at all to have her worksheet demanded. Why no accountability for the men?

Not in the US, no. There is no "taking over" by a VP unless the president is incapacitated. Every 4yrs there's a presidential election. The 2020 Democratic nominee must be able to be the 2024 incumbent. The history of one-term presidencies is not good.
The last one-term presidency was Carter. The only Democrat between 1968 and 1992. One-term presidencies are damaging to that party. If Biden were to be the nominee, the opposition will just wait out his 4yrs. He is frail now. In 2024 he will be 83. These are real concerns.
The last one-term presidency in an open election was Carter--the last one-term presidency with a VP was Bush 1: Reagan's 3rd term, as VPs are called. So in a one-term presidency the VP would be carrying the weight of that failure. AND would have Dem challengers like Gore did.

Strong statements from @ewarren when asked by @NBC about the prospect of an all-white December debate. Warren said, "I'm very concerned that there may be a Democratic debate and there may not be a single person of color on that stage."
Warren also said misogyny was a concern.

Misleading headline in large comprehensive English & Spanish poll. Warren in a statistical tie with Sanders for 1st. Warren also has the highest favorables: 67%

Biden is in a statistical tie with Buttigieg--he lost 7pts, Buttigieg gained 7pts. The poll was taken a week before Harris withdrew. She was ranked in 5th place at 7%, down 7pts. No traction for Steyer or Bloomberg despite $$$.

Sanders 24%
Warren 22%
Biden 17%
Buttigieg 16%
Sanders has the most under 49 voters and Latinx voters, Warren is 2nd in both, and is highest among women voters. Buttigieg surged ahead of Biden with 65+ voters. Warren was the 2nd choice for the most voters at 58% and she and Biden benefit most from Harris leaving.

#Warren said she was Native American & was listed as Harvard's 1st female "professor of color". Test proves she has only 1 NA ancestor 6-10 gens back, evoking outrage over the lie. But #Trump is held to a lower standard of truth because the public knows he lies about EVERYTHING.
Genetic testing shows I am 1% western African. Based on Warren's standard of truth, I could claim to be African-American, giving me preferential minority status and special assistance. She & her team are trying to deal w/ this issue in anticipation of a matchup against Trump.
I've exchanged messages with black family history researchers who have been surprised to find that we are blood relatives. I'm proud to have that DNA connection to Africa, but I don't use it to claim that I'm African American.

The loan was c. 7/82 and was actually $25K.

#warren/#buttigieg 2020. Tell me why I'm wrong.
I was really hoping to elect a person of color, and I still have some interest in Harris. But she's getting too much heat for her prosecutor background. Besides Warren has the most policies that align with my view of America, AND she knows how to make those goals achievable!
And Buttigieg... I'm still learning about his ability to govern, but I'm continually impressed by how worldly and hella SMART he is. and he's obviously had some inside experience of oppression as a gay man from middle America.
