Sometimes I feel like I am the only international economic lawyer in the world who isn't obsessed with what is happening with the WTO AB.
It isn't that I don't think its important - it is. It is more that I feel:

(1) everyone else seems to be focused on it, so there is already a lot of brain power there and little I could likely add;
(2) the WTO AB issue is collateral damage in a larger geopolitical battle of clashing systems that is playing out in lots of other areas too ...

that are (3) very important but getting a lot less attention, like the rise in investment screening mechanisms; and
(4) we are unlikely to return to the pre-crisis WTO AB situation bc bigger changes are at work (eg in great power rivalry/tech comp) & I want to understand those.
