Dear #UhuruKenyatta let's discuss Conflict of interest:
1. Using your office to force a telecom to use your family bank to roll out mshwari. Your bank gets a monopoly. You don't bother about such things as abuse of office. In fact you don't care
2. Conflict of interest: When you force every citizen to register for a "huduma" number & then your family bank is made the sole processor of payments & ofcourse leverages the names & other personal data to, all in all, enrich you and family
3. Conflict of interest: When you use the State House pulpit to promote a product your bank has rolled out in the process LYING that it provides cheap or the cheapest loans when the truth is contrary. Some countries send to prison anybody who dares do that &/or make him pay back
4. Conflict of interest:
When you leverage your office to ram through a rubber-stamp parliament, laws that promote your family dairy business. Among proposed laws: outlawing the selling & buying of milk other than through companies like your family's brookside

This woman below was appointed on the basis of her tribal belonging to prop up the Colonial Government led by Uhuru Kenyatta. She ethnicized 80% of the Principal Positions in high schools in Kenya by appointing her tribesmen. She did the same with the TSC senior & regional top
To divert attention from the ethnic discrimination she has embarked on a foolhardy mission to take the TSC back to the primitive age where workers' labor rights were unknown. The fact that Article 41 of constitution of #Kenya grants these rights is completely ignored by the woman

Zero Price. One argument for zero price is that there are positive externalities and network effects for bringing everybody to the same high level service. A second is And that leaving poorer citizens and lower margin business behind is less inclusive.
Clearly charging those who can afford would make it less costly to the taxpayer, and be less regressive, but it is messy. But surely over time that would emerge? And behavioural insights might help design 100% take up with mostly positive pricing.
