The idea Labour should have supported May's deal is absurd. Support it and you're culpable. If you're culpable, you can't lay the blame with the government when it goes wrong.
Will now be in a better position for this. It won't have to refight the Brexit issue. It'll be happening. Nor should it be calling for Britain to rejoin immediately. That'll take time. So it can dedicate all fire at Brexit being done badly rather than whether it should be at all.
And obviously any notion they should vote for Johnson's deal is insane. Would win them nothing. Would lose them the ability to criticise it in the years to come.
Checks between NI and GB? No right to criticise. Reduced trade? No right to criticise. Terrible negotiation outcomes? No right to criticise. Economic downturn? No right to criticise. It'd be bonkers.
