Muslim settlers trying to instigate violence over CHT land Commission meeting today.

Bengali settlers, evidently under guidance of Army, block the CHT Land Commission in Rangamati Hill District
Report reads:
"Today (23 December 2019) in the morning, the Bengali Muslim settlers

under the banner of newly formed and army-backed Parbatya Nagarok Parishad halted and surrounded Chairman of CHT Regional Council Mr. Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma, Chakma Circle Chief Raja Devasish Roy and Chairman of CHT Land Dispute Resolution Commission Mr. Anowar-Ul Hoque

while they reached at Public Health area. Land Commission chairman and members were going to newly established Land Commission’s office at Rangamati Hill District Council from Kalyanpur, Rajbari and Rangamati Circuit House respectively. The settlers kept them in captive for

around an hour along the Rangamati main road at public health area near Rangamati Hill District Council’s office. Settlers shouted slogan and delivered provocative speech against land commission, its committee and Rules.

Finally, with the help of police, Land Commission chairman

and members reached at its Land Commission’s office and started its today’s meeting of the Commission. However, it is learnt that at present Bengali Muslim settlers with more gathering are advancing towards Land Commission’s office at Rangamati Hill District Council from Banarupa

The demonstration of Muslim settlers is nothing but instigation of army to setters against Land Commission to make impediment resolution of land disputes.

It is also learnt that settlers may turn it into communal attack."

Settler muslim bengalis do not want land dispute resolution. Army proxies like "CHT Nagorik porishod" have blocked the main road in the city and chanted slogan against the Chakmas and Jummas.
