Iran committed a barbaric act of war and violated international law last night. They don't get a "no harm, no foul" pass because they didn't hit anything. Crippling sanctions should be increased, with full participation of the entire civilized world, until they become crushing.
Iran's ability to support its terrorist proxies in other countries should be completely cut off. Nothing should be allowed to leave Iran that would assist its militia allies. Groups like Hezbollah should be choked out.
Iran should be notified that its civilian aircraft and cargo flights will no longer be allowed to land at airports anywhere in the civilized world. No more visas for anyone linked to the Iranian government. Iran uses its airlines to support its terrorist proxies. Bankrupt them.
Sanctions against Iran have been tough, but they can get a *lot* worse, and they should. Iran's actions, including not just the missile attack but its latest violations of the nuclear deal, will make it very difficult for its European defenders to keep helping it. /end
