Another trade conference, and I still can't shake @SamuelMarcLowe, probably for the good of other attendees
So a somewhat arcane conversation on trade and democracy is taking place watched on by some of the UK political press pack awaiting an interview with Commissioner Hogan. I doubt this is increasing the desire of said press pack to cover trade details in the future...
Now listening to Hogan and Mandelson talking US China trade deal. Reminder here were my initial thoughts on that deal...
(I've been quite struck by the extent to which Lord Mandelson appears to be pining for a return to the 'glory days' of trade liberalisation, the 1990s and 2000s, which I don't see coming back any time soon. Different world now and likely for a long time to come)
