I never used to use Twitter so I don't have many followers here, but if this message gets out - great.
I'm an Australian born Chinese living in Shanghai currently.
On January 26th, I made a post on Facebook warning my friends and family about the gravity of the #coronavirus 1/n

The Facebook post contained a lot of my personal experiences in the short few days that the virus started breaking out here. A lot of warnings and safety tips. The post got shared virally and it ended up getting over 51k shares. I then continued to post videos and pictures .. 2/n

Of my daily life in Shanghai and what I saw and heard. A lot of people started following me and I even got interviewed by news and media. I showed up on an episode of A Current Affair (Channel 9) special on the #CoronavirusOutbreak . Many people continued to share my posts .. 3/n

Yesterday, Facebook under the guise of "suspicious activity" and someone else logging into my account - required me to verify my identity. It asked for a photo selfie from me. I submitted it, and since then my Facebook has been disabled, all my posts are gone. No matter how.. 4/n

I try to contact them, I cannot find a reason for why my Facebook got locked up. I have submitted various appeal forms asking why and yet to hear back.
Today, I logged into an old second account I had. From a different VPN and IP login. Some people from my old FB found me .. 5/n

And asked me what happened to my account. I replied to two of these people, and went to reach out to someone who I was talking to previously who could sell me masks. After I sent that message ... Guess what? Locked. Disabled. Account's wiped. I barely had any friends on there 6/n

I didn't make a single post, I didn't mention the words Coronavirus, I didn't say anything about the virus. And yet Facebook was onto me within the hour of me logging in. I don't know what's going on, and I don't know why Facebook's censoring me, but I am definitely starting 7/n

To think there is a lot more going on than we are being let on. The response in China is freaky for what is apparently just a few tens of thousands infected, and the response internationally now has me freaked out too. Corporates pulling out, casinos in Macau shutting down 8/n

WHAT IS ACTUALLY GOING ON?!? How serious is this threat going to be. At first I trusted in the governments, I trusted that this was a natural virus that infected us, but now I'm really starting to think it's a bioweapon which is why so many countries and superpowers are .. 8/n

Taking it so seriously. Please everyone be careful and stay safe out there. This is a topic I don't even dare post about on Chinese social media, but with Western censorship I say fuck them, I'll speak out even louder. #coronavirus #ncov2019 #coronavirusoutbreak

HOLY SHIT TWITTER. A few hours after this Tweet blew the hell up my Facebook is unblocked WITHOUT A WORD from Facebook. No nothing at all, just account restored. No replies to my appeals, not even a "Thank you for your ID verification"

So ... something to add on that's strange. I try to make a Facebook post ... Is that normal? Am I still being censored in some way by Facebook??

So it looks like my Facebook posts no longer show up on other people's newsfeeds. Only people who go directly onto my profile can see what I posted. Thanks FB gave my account back but still taken my voice away
