1/ I'm glad BuzzFeed looked into this. I was curious about it so I got in touch with the owner of the @ouakam4 account, also accused of being a sock-puppet, and confirmed, via email and photos she took, that she isn't. I got briefly taken in by this too

2/ so I can't be too judgey but it's pretty crazy how this quickly began spreading as an Established Fact among journos given how easy a thing it was to fact-check. I will share the account owner's email to me about her support of Buttigieg and frustration at the conspiracy
3/ theories if I get her permission -- I haven't heard back yet and she might be asleep given the time difference.
4/ As for the 'evidence'... this comes across as obsessive and creepy and weird. If someone tweeted at me PROVE TO ME YOU ARE A JEWISH MAN LIVING IN BROOKLYN IN 10 SECONDS OR ELSE I DON'T BELIEVE YOU I'd tell them to fuck off, of course! These guys... 
5/ Okay the woman running @ouakam4, which lists @maximine63 as its main, gave me permission to share her email to me. I responded to this by (apologetically) asking her to send me photo proof, and she sent me one of her w/her laptop and my email that matched her profile pic. At
6/ the very least this links the account to an account that's much older, run by a woman who looks like the person in both accounts' photos. If you want me to look into this further please crowdfund my trip to Africa. Otherwise, I think it's safe to say: not a sock puppet.
